It’s been about a week of me using MetalBack and I will publish my personal activity in this post. My wife has accused me of becoming addicted to this, but I don’t agree with her. These are either gifts or things that I’ve wanted to purchase for some time:

In a week I’ve spent $716.23 USD (inc GST), $651.12 has gone to the merchants, $26.64 to each myself and MFP. $53.28 of capital into the KMS in total.
I don’t intend to spend at this pace, however, I will be using this for travel and quite regularly in general.
Normal spending could easily see $500 to me and $500 to MFP per year.
If 10 Million people spent accordingly that would flow $5Billion USD into the MFP per year and $10B input capital into KMS.
For KVT holders, the MFP input alone equates to $333 per token per year. This is not counting VDC card spending, extra velocity creation of incoming capital, increased uptake of KMS after exposure etc etc etc.
I think I’m using quite conservative figures for 10 Million users, particularly when partners are highly incentivised to get the word out.
 
Thanks Alex - I’m all booked- now I’ve only got to travel half way across the world. But I’m not addicted.

It's been a week and I still haven't received a confirmation email for my purchase on Sock Shop.
I had issues with chrome and switched to Microsoft and the new transaction were emailed to me. In the process my anti virus has an anti website tracking feature and I switched it off have tried another to see witch one it was
 
In Vaultside 4 episode, Jai Bifulco mentions that the new and improved VDC will not only have lower fees and be competitive with the best card programs, it will have a cash back (actually another Metal Back) component to all transactions. He said there will be caps, but it will essentially enable us to gain metal back on all everyday expenditure. By using the VDC combined with MetalBack merchants, would give 2 lots of KAU back.

If that happens then this by far one of the best VDC programs out there
It’s incredibly generous to the users and I can imagine that word of mouth will be the ultimate driver of uptake. Partners will no doubt ignite participation, but once people get a taste of how good this is, it won’t take long until every user is encouraging their uncle, aunty, cousins, friends and grandparents.
 
Our expectations about how much Metalback and other Kinesis programs may contribute from "developing" countries may need to be revised - upwards!

While watching YouTube - 'Hollywood Reporter India', a comment about the cost for a family of 4 to watch a film, plus popcorn & ice creams at the local *upscale* cinema cost 10,000 rupees = about £90 !

Inflation has been bad, but if people really get using this at scale, watch out.

 
Yesterday I made my first purchase via Metallback. Is it possible to see a history online? Otherwise I can never prove it if I have questions about a transaction?

Some suggestions have been made along these lines.

The current process is that an email will be sent after Kinesis receives confirmation that your purchase is tracking with the merchant. This confirmation is not an instant process and the time will vary between merchants.
You can see some examples of the email that others have posted further up this thread.

If you don't receive this email within a week, I would follow up with Support.
Include a full screenshot of your purchase showing all the details including any order references and the total amount paid.
