[Info] Count unique ONCHAIN users across KAG and KAU: 4235

Work procedure detailed here

NB:
Actual human beings or companies may have multiple user accounts (eg: multiple wallets).
That type of information is not accessible to the casual analyst.

An ONCHAIN user is not the same as a KMS Exchange user.
That data as far as I know is not available to the analyst.

We can however surmise that most KMS Exchange users have at least one on-chain (Stellar/ Horizon) address/ account.

I think the great majority of users have never minted or transacted on the blockchain. Therefore the great majority is under the radar.

Another complication is (if I remember it correctly) that KAU and KAG were once separate addresses but are the same address now.

Let me attempt some creative guessing around that statement...

That would result in some triple-counting.

Not a problem if the original 2 separate user accounts are then deactivated for current use from the date of the merge.

I must assume they remain visible for historical processing of the data. After all, the records will still be on the blockchain.

KAG User M
and
KAU User N
are merged into
KAG and KAU User O

3 apparently distinct users
who actually map back to 1 actual user (person or company). Probably the main aim of the merge.

I am guessing here...

We know by previous inspection:

4235

is the total from the top of this thread. That was a measure not a guess.

Thus:

➡️ If the merge occurred very recently we can take one third of that number (all my work at github as usual) ⬅️

1410 actual users in total instead of 4235

!=
Users in KMS Exchange, a different matter altogether.

These 1410 are actual users on the blockchain:
  1. Users who have minted by EPD at least once and/ or
  2. Users who have minted from fiat at least once and/ or
  3. Users who have transferred to a personal wallet (either hot or cold; their own or to someone else's; out of HotWallet at any rate). The transfer could have been by minting.
If the merge occurred in 2020 say, your guess is as good as mine (pure and total speculation! )

A Digital Auditor might like to know:
  1. if the merge applied to 10, 100, 200, 500, 1000 or 1410 users
  2. the approximate date of the user account merge
To be cleared up by Kinesis people at some point.

NOT urgent

Ende and out.
