As ever, Kinesis is committed to enhancing the access of the platform for users across the globe.

i just received a text message claiming to be from Pegasus, stating that they need me to verify my identify by clicking on a link and have requested that I have my Driver's License ready... However when I log into the platform, there is no mention of having to jump through this hoop. Anyone else receive a similar message?

Yes Inalienably I did. Completed it las t week. Got a text today though saying there are still issues. Could be clarity of images I uploaded. Will post more when I hear back from Pegasus.

I didn't have to do any of that. I just filled out the online form and submitted it. Verified in roughly 24hrs, maybe a bit longer.

Originally I opened and verified my account via SSN on Thursday 3/20 and today 3/24 I received the text stating that I need to further verify my identity. I have yet to do it and I wasn’t sure if the link was a phishing attempt or not. The account loading that I initiated via ACH on Friday has been taken out of my bank account as of this morning but has not yet posted to my Pegasus account. I don’t know if the extended KYC is holding that up or if it’s just a matter of them waiting until EOD to settle the day’s ACH transactions.

Had the same. Sent a ticket to Pegasus and awaiting a reply. Like you I thought fishing might be occurring so went through Pegasus assistance process.

So I received a note asking me to click the link in a text from Pegasus. This time I used my phone rather than computer and again tried many times to capture and image of my drivers license. Went to three different well lighted places in my home too. None of them were accepted. I frustration I opened a new case with their help team. Just asked the to refund my money since I'm not clever enough to handle their KYC. Sorry news could not be better to share. On the bright side, the second ask by Pegasus is legit and not a phishing scheme.

So glad to hear that once again Kinesis brings in something supposedly new and better to make things easier and faster and it runs so smoothly right outta the gate. It really helps us pitch Kinesis to new potential users [sarc].

I decided not to mess with it for a while and let others find all the bugs and bothersome **** first and save myself some aggravation. Looks as though I made a good choice.

I'm waiting for the hybrid accounts, but even then, will wait a few months until others find the problems and they get fixed and process is simple straightforward and user friendly

Looking forward to this when it is available outside US. My USD account is not yet eligible.
"Note that currently, Kinesis only supports deposits from US-based users, with global availability planned in the coming months."

One week follow up:
  • After waiting the full 7-days to have my initial account load post to my Pegasus wallet, the funds were still pending. Contacted Pegasus Support to inquire and they said that my account was still awaiting completion of the virtual ID process before the funds could post. I balked stating that the biometric scan was not made explicitly clear before or during the account creation or loading process and according to the platform my ID had already been verified via my SSN. THey persisted in their demands.
  • I reluctantly performed the visual identity scan yesterday via the link that Pegasus texted which was approved on the first attempt. After which I notified Customer Service per their request. I checked Pegasus a little bit later and found that the funds had finally posted to my wallet.
  • First thing this morning I initiated a Wallet to Wallet transfer using the obtuse details provided in the Kinesis platform under Menu / Deposit / Pegasus.
  • As of now, over 4 hours later the funds have yet to post to my Kinesis balance.
  • Big surprise, another failure of the Kinesis team to properly roll out a new feature. I suppose that I'm going to have to contact Kinesis Support and let them know to be on the lookout for my funds.
  • Frustrating to say the least... what good is rolling out technology that requires manual intervention to complete basic tasks???

Your account executive will call to ask you a few questions and then the funds will be credited to your account. If you don't know you that is, send an email to support

Doesn’t this seem a tad medieval? I included my KM account number in the reference field. It should be automatic and not require yet another manual intervention…

Just telling you steps...for now this is what it takes to settle a deposit. I hope it gets faster and more automated soon.

I read in another thread that every deposit from Pegasus to Kinesis requires a literal phone call in order to be completed. Medieval is right, this is not a solution.

I do not think it is by choice for Kinesis's part. I believe at present it is a KYC requirement imposed on them.
Also for Iban transfers (EU) - this call is needed. Think it is because some people got scammed because all questions on the call are related to this.

But for an on ramp I do not see the point for the call... for off ramp yes.
