Hi, I'm trying to create an account but after entering my email, name and password, the page refreshes to the first account setup page with the message "The Google ReCaptcha token verification failed" as seen in the attachment. (Note, I deleted my email address hence the red field there.)
OS Debian 12, KDE desktop. I have tried multiple different browsers, Firefox v128.8.0esr, Palemoon, Konqueror.
I have tried on a laptop and pc, both as above for OS.
All browsers and both computers have worked on the google captcha demo page here; https://google.com/recaptcha/api2/demo
All fail in the same manner on the Kinesis account setup page.
I have spent significant time troubleshooting on the Firefox v128.
I have created a brand new, clean profile.
I have set all security settings to minimum / off, (the browser is naked.)
No addons.
I have cleared cache & cookies.
I have added various domains such as accounts.google.com and kms.kinesis.money to the tracking exceptions under Enhanced Tracking Protection.
I have tried in safe mode.
I have tried account setup over multiple different days, repeating the above steps.
I have not had issues with a captcha on any other website.
No proxy.
No unusual firewall setup. (Outgoing allowed.)
OS and browser are all up to date for my distribution.
I have contacted the Kinesis help via email and advised of all the above. I received a boilerplate helpdesk response that ignores the information I provided, telling me to try things I've already tried.
If it's a network issue why does no other website captcha give me problems and why does the demo site work without issue?
If it's a browser issue why do all my browsers and 2 different machines exhibit the same behaviour?
I'm stumped so coming here is my last ditch attempt at resolving this issue and getting an account setup. (No problems with the captcha for the forum signup.)
Has anyone else had any troubles using Nix or any issues with the signup captcha in Firefox or other?
Thanks for any help,
MrG.
