Wise Bank account

Q1:
Is it possible to switch your bank account that is registered in the kinesis app to a wise account?
Q2:
Inorder to avoid Swift fees, does it have to be an Australian account or can it be Uk or Eu account for an on/off ramp?
Cheers

If your question is based around the fiat withdrawal fee, then I don't think there's currently a way to avoid that.

Which country are you based in?

Based in the UK. But with Wise one can add any currency account. $€£¥ etc.
I have been with Kinesis just when the physical debit card ended and have been waiting ever since then for it to come back.
I'm aware that the virtual card can be used with Google pay to make payments in stores but I 'm not interested in doing that for security reasons and my personal distaste of Google or Apple.
So, what I was thinking is, that if it be possible to link Wise acc. to Kinesis without having to pay Swift charges, that would solve the issue of being able to make purchases in stores.
Cheers

I did this many times while traveling to use the Wise physical card to pull cash at an ATM: Use the VDC to fund your Wise account. Granted you'll have to pay the 1.9% KMS fee + Wise debit card fee -+3% but it works..

Cheers, that's an option.

Last June, Kinesis announced that the physical card was going to come to UK/EU a view months after the initial trial, but that didn't happen yet!
My only disappointed with Kinesis is the lack of a Card. Why are crypto exchanges (i.e crypto.com) able to offer a card, but Kinesis is not?

Good question. My AE said a few months ago that registration for EU phys card was about to open.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

More recent updates have referenced EEA physical card.
UK no longer part of the EEA. In Vaultside episode 3, we will then start to bring on the UK program in succession after the European rollout.
Card partner and regulatory are the obvious variables.

A potentially cheap and fast off-ramp if you have a crypto account elsewhere is via USDC on the Stellar network.
1 USDC withdrawal fee.

Thanks Uchiki, have been using a crypto exchange for on/off ramping which also has a DC.
I was just hoping that Kinesis would have that sorted out by now, oh well.
It's like not having access to your house through the front door but having to go via your neighbors garden to enter and leave the house using the back door.
Other than that, I'm quite happy with Kinesis

Just to close this one off, I know of two people who have successfully withdrawn from their KMS account to their Wise account. The one caveat is that I don't know how recently this was done.
The standard withdrawal charges apply, so it probably makes the answer moot for the purposes you envisaged.
