US Bank Deposits deactivated (Citizens)

Hi all @datsunking1 @packeroni

Yes, we do understand the barriers we faced and unfortunately the Citizen Bank deposit option has been deactivated.

But we continue to work on this and assure you that there will be new local USD deposit options coming online very soon.

We will keep you updated once there is an official announcement. In the meantime, please use the other deposit options listed on the KMS.
 
@Bryan I too would appreciate an update on Plaid. There was also talk about Zelle being "imminent" several months ago. Are one or both of these solutions in the pipeline? Is there anything coming for US users?

Focus on deposits via USD Coin on the Stellar network (or network other than Ethereum). This is an attractive, worldwide solution that does a nice end-run around banks that are proving to be unreliable bedfellows. Sadly, even our friend Wise has turned its back on Kinesis and similar companies.
 
Yes please. Would be an excellent medium term solution, while some of these others come online.

I would take anything that sticks round for more than a couple months at this point.
 
Kinesis, you really, really, really, really, really need to get a consistent onramp of fiat for US citizens.

We're slowly moving from the "teething pains" phase to the "incompetence" phase. Which I know you are not.

You may say it's not your fault, it's the fault of the banks. However, at the end of the day, everything in your system that either works well or does not work well is blamed, and rightfully so, on Kinesis staff.

Do better.

From Wikipedia: "On the 3rd of November 2023, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation announced that a Citizen’s Bank in Sac City had failed and that Iowa Trust & Savings Bank would be the receiver."

The failed Iowa bank is completely different. It has a much longer history and the Citizen's Financial Group does not operate in Iowa.
