Can Anyone Help With Yields

Hi,

i just need a little help with understanding yields, i have $6174.83 KAU at the time of wrighting this, now i started to add KAU at the beginning of January

i hold $860.49 in my portfolio and $5,313.89 in my wallet total of $6174.83

but for that month i only received +0.01284 KAU $0.797 for Holders Yield and for Velocity yield +0.00687 KAU $0.426

but if i click on the drop-down under holders yield it shows Total eligible for Holder's Yield 103.04554 KAU

so im kinda confused as the total received for both Holders and Velocity was KAU 0.01971 $1.22

so looking at that for what i hold i was thinking is that right or wrong?

Thanks

Did you link your wallet to your KMS account? Kinesis only pays yields to people who have done KYC, so you need to tell them your hardware wallet belongs to you.

ye ive done KYC and im sure ive linked them as i can see my wallet and open it as well i linked minting as well but i think im not ready for that one yet

OK, so when you log in to the web site, click on Yields, and in the lower right of the page you should see "linked addresses." If you click where it says "External" in the header, do you see your external wallet listed?
When you use something like a coolwallet S, you need to explicitly go here and link it so Kinesis knows to associate its holdings with your account.

and this i don't understand
By clicking the bars in the Holders Yield tab, you can see for every day how much "eligible" metal you were holding on that day. So you have selected the last bar that shows that 103.05 KAU is eligible for Holders yield on that day. At current prices (KAU=$59.91) that is about $6,173.72, so that number makes sense.

Calculating the Holders Yield is done like this:

1) Take the sum of the balances for each day of the month. This gives you a number for "Your holders eligible amount". So for example: if you were holding 103.05 KAU for all 31 days in January, that number should be 31x103.05=3184.55

2) Divide this by the "Total holders eligible amount" that you can find when you expand the actual payment. This will give you "Your percentage claim of holders yield", which you can also directly see in the expansion. This is the percentage of the total Holders Yield Pool that you will receive

3) Multiply this percentage with the value of the Holder Yield Pool in January (287.756 KAU)

This will give you yield that you receive for that month!

Based on the numbers that you give, it looks like you were eligible for 0.0000446% of the pool, which suggests you were holding on average 62.6 KAU in Kinesis during January. This looks reasonable if you started adding KAU somewhere that month. But you can check the numbers yourself by checking the bars for each day.

This is what you are looking for in the expansion:

There is still a bug in the yield tab that prevents you from seeing the full expansion, except when you first go to "See all payments" at the bottom of the page. This button:

Then look up the yield payment and expand it with the little triangle on the right!

ye i get that when i press on all payments it will show me both holders and velocity i just thought the total of $1.22 was wrong for the amount i held, i dont see a daily breakdown anywhere though, not that i really need one will such a small number of $1.22, maybe next month might be better, i just thought it was such a small amount for 6100$ or so, as i was under the impression it was 15% of what you held, ill just keep adding to it best i can over this next month and see if it gets better as i go along, thanks for all the help and to everyone else as well

If you started to add KAU at the beginning of January I imagine that you did not hold 103.04554 KAU for the entire month. On the holder's yield page, you can see exactly how much you held each day from the vertical yellow bars as Trog has said. Click on each of the 31 days and sum all of these amounts then divide by 31.

My guess is that the result of this holder's yield calculation will be about 62.15166,

Ah you click on the yellow bar to see, i see it now.

so this is my month, so will that accumulate to more next month, and as ill be adding more in this month then that month after that will catch up with itself again in march? i just find it a bit confusing, as i though it was 15% of what you held for the month, i know i didn't put much in at the beginning of the month and im adding to it all the time so would the beginning of next month then become 15% of Januarys hold and some of February maybe? yes im hard work sorry lol

We really need more volume to get the yields where they used to be. VISA cards need to come back online for everyone, Indonesia needs to finish the rollout, etc.
i do promote kinesis on twitter and facebook, i thought there where like 80,000 members?

The holders yield is 15% of fees collected. That 15% is then divided proportionally between all the holders.
